Everyone is welcome to participate in the Music Program at Lord of Life.

We can always use one more voice in the choir or one more ringer in a hand bell choir. Instrumentalists have the opportunity to offer special music during one of the services. If they wish, they may join one of the bands at Lord of Life to help accompany one of the choirs.

Both the Contemporary Liturgical Service (8:30AM) and the New Life Service (9:50AM) use keyboard, guitars and drums. Lord of Life's Traditional Service (11:00AM) is accompanied by pipe organ and primarily uses the Lutheran Book of Worship.

We have three distinctive worship services with different and inspiring music every Sunday morning at Lord Of Life.
The Service Choirs rehearse once a week for 90 minutes (see calendar.) Babysitting is provided at all rehearsals

The practice schedule for the Service Choirs is as follows:

Lord of Life Choir
(8:30am and 11:00am services)
Tuesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.in the Sanctuary.

They will alternate singing between the two services, but may however, on special feast days sing at both services.

New Life Choir
(9:50 service)

Thursday evenings Bible Study
7:00 - 7:30
Rehearsal from
7:30 – 9:00p.m. in the Sanctuary

There are three Handbell Choirs at Lord of Life.


Sarah Schlaks
Director Bells of Life

  • Heavenly Metal is a handbell group for children 4th grade - 6th grade. The group rehearses on Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m.
  • Celebration Ringers is a handbell group for 7th grade to Adult. This group is blessed to have Sarah Schlacks as their director. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. The group is presently in need of several new ringers. No experience is required.
  • Bells of Life is an advanced 5-octave handbell group. The group continues to improve under the skillful leadership of Sarah Schlacks. Bells of Life rehearse on Monday evenings at 7:15pm.

There is a thriving Children's Music Program at Lord of Life.

Volunteers direct the groups and rehearsals usually last for about 30 minutes. All of the groups rehearse throughout the school year on Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 pm.

Children's handbell ensembles rehearse from 5:00 - 5:30 pm, and vocal ensembles rehearse from 5:30 - 6:00 pm with dinner to follow.

Give your child the opportunity to come and make a joyful noise for the Lord.

The groups are as follows:
  • Cherub Choir is for preschoolers though Kindergarten.

  • Sing and Celebrate is a singing group for children in 1st grade through 3rd grade.
  • Spirit Song is for children in 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.


Lord of Life Drama Ministry

Lord of Life's Drama Ministry Team provides creative interpretation
and application of scripture in worship services and special events.

All interested participants are welcome.
Rehearsals are in the Choir Room on Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.
