LifeLine Volunteers – Meet to collate and make ready for bulk mailing of the monthly newsletter.

Office Volunteers – As needed - Answer phones, special mailings and projects, etc.

Nursery - Our trained nursery staff provides a caring and loving environment for our little ones. It is available during each service on Sunday mornings and during most church sponsored events. For more information contact the nursery coordinator, Debbie Fraga 936-203-2648

Care Ministries:

Care & Share - Provide caring services for people with a designated need. Contact the church office.

Hospital Visitation Ministry – Visit members who have been hospitalized. Contact Jeannie Lawson 281-367-1287

Intercessory Prayer Team – Pray for members, friends and family on a daily basis. Participants are asked to pray once a month for 30 minutes utilizing our prayer lists. Contact Barbara Kindsvatter 281-292-9853

Oktoberfest - Annual event held in October featuring Beer / Brats / Polka

Pig Roast - Annual event benefitting the Pastor's Discretionary Fund.

Pot-Lucks - Various times throughout the year.

Progressive Dinner - Annual event held in February.

Sunday Morning Coffee – Prepares and/or cleans up coffee and refreshments for fellowship between services on Sunday morning.

Adopt-a-Family / Adopt-a-Senior – Christmas Gifts given to needy families and Seniors in the community.

Birthday Parties at Copperwood & Tamarac Pines - Provide entertainment and refreshments to seniors in local apartment dwellings.

Blood Drives – Quarterly blood drives located here in the LOL parking lot.

Fair Trade - Regular sale of Fair Trade coffee, chocolate and handicrafts which helps poor farmers across the world.

Food Pantry – Monthly collection of food given to Interfaith or the Montgomery County Food Bank.

Global Barnyard - Purchase animals that are given to families to provide nutrition and income.

Golf Tournament – Benefits the Gebert Mission Outreach Fund which supports various ministries.

Habitat for Humanity – Homes built by volunteers to provide housing to a hard-working family at a low mortgage rate. Contact Don Hynek 936-271-7695

Homeless Ministry – Lunches made and toiletries given to the Salvation Army. Contact Shelby Bockeloh 936-273-2668

Houston International Seafarers - Shoe boxes filled with toiletries for seamen unable to get on land.

Hug-a-Bears - Meeting the 4th Thursday at 9:30 am. Hug-a-Bears sews and stuffs ‘Bears’ for Hermann Memorial Hospital and The Community Clinic. Contact Jeannine Seibert 281-363-2853

Lamar Tutors – Weekly tutoring at Lamar Elementary to assist students in a caring manner in the community.

Lutheran World Relief - Supporting LWR by providing Quilts; School, Health, Sewing Kits which provides care/comfort to impoverished people far away

Meals on Wheels - A local chapter of Meals on Wheels coordinated by Lord of Life volunteers which delivers nutritious meals to the needy and shut-ins.

Peru Mission – Annual trip to support for our sister congregation, Filadelphia, in Lima, Peru.

Rachel's Remnants – Meeting the 2nd and 3rd Thursday mornings to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief.

Souper Bowl of Caring - A one day national effort to help end world hunger at the local level. This is held annually on the NFL’s Super Bowl Sunday.

Vision Care Project – Collection of eye glasses for needy individuals in Peru.

Small Groups:

BUNCO – Meeting the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Contact Beth Kuper at 281-363-3518.

Drama Team - Lord of Life's Drama Ministry Team provides creative interpretation and application of scripture in worship services and special events. All interested participants are welcome. Contact: Dianna Cauthen 281-355-0117

Esther Circle - Meets every other month, September through May, for fellowship, service projects, and Bible/Book studies. Contact Shelby Bockeloh 936-273-2668

Knitting Group- Meeting the 2nd and 4th Saturday at 10:00 am. Items knitted are donated to Texas Children's Hospital, our military personnel, and people with medical conditions.

Junior High Ministry - Events, Retreats, and our Confirmation program for all 7th & 8th graders focusing on learning, serving, and playing!

Confirmation Camp - A summer week that leaves behind busy lives to focus on God in His creation.

Senior High Ministry - Events, Retreats, and Wednesday night program for all 9th - 12th graders.

Senior High Mission Trip - Annual summer trip to serve God by serving His children.

Worship & Music:

Bells of Life – Advanced handbell group rehearses weekly and plays for services one Sunday each month.

Children's Choir and Handbell Ensembles - Directors and assistants instruct and minister to children from Kindergarten through 6th grade; children rehearse weekly and lead worship about once a month.

Children's Christmas Pageant - An annual holiday celebration involving children, and volunteers throughout the church.

LOL Choir - Adult vocal ensemble leads Sunday worship and special services, sharing the message of faith in song.

New Life Choir - Contemporary worship team involves vocalists and instrumentalists to lead New Life service each week.

Acolytes - Light the altar candles and assist the pastors in worship.

Altar Guild - Prepares communion and the paraments before each service.

Communion Assistants - Bring the wine and bread to the altar and help the pastor distribute them to worshippers.

Deacons - Read portions of scripture, offer prayers, and assist the pastors in worship services.

Sound Room Personnel - Ensure the quality of sound during worship and record services for homebound members.

Ushers - Distribute worship folders, collect the offering, and assist in directing worshippers to communion.
