"Golf, With Love" Golf Tournament
Celebrating Our 16th Year of Helping Others

On behalf of The Gebert Mission Outreach Fund, it is an honor and privilege to announce and welcome you to the 16th Annual Charity Fundraiser Golf Tournament and Dinner.

This year’s event is being held in conjunction with Lord of Life’s sister congregation, Spirit of Joy. We will return to the lush Panther Trail Course at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. Golfers and non-golfers alike will unite again to raise funds to help others. Last year’s event raised a record-breaking $43,000 and we hope you will join us in our effort to top that in 2010. We will play our traditional 18-hole, fourperson scramble format that will feature a variety of interesting contests and challenges, including a closest-to-the-hole duel with “One Armed Bandit” Larry Alford.

The Putting Tournament will return and for those who relish a duel on the green, we’ll enjoy friendly competition at the Woodforest Shootout. For young and old, golfer and non-golfer, this day can be enjoyed by everyone, all in an effort to give generously to our charitable mission. If you are unable to participate in the tournament, we hope you will join us for a scrumptious dinner, silent auction and awards ceremony. There’s something for everyone and we invite you to join us. This annual tournament, named after Woodlands pioneers, The Rev. Don and Barbara Gebert, raises funds for the Gebert Mission Outreach Fund and is an outgrowth of the ministries of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in The Woodlands. For the third consecutive year, The Wounded Warrior Project, a national non-profit group dedicated to helping veterans of Iraq, Afghanistan and other conflicts, has been named the tournament's featured charity.



No Experience Required
• Putting Tournament
• Test your skills on three holes on our “designer” putting course. It’s a contest of finesse that requires only a keen eye. Putters and golf balls will be provided and golf pros will help you “spot” the ball and “read” the green. (Winner eligible for “Putt-In-One” Event.)

• The Woodforest Shootout •
“A Putting Duel with Dan and Don”

Named in honor of last year’s friendly “duel on the green” between Pastor Don and Dan Hauser of Woodforest National Bank, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Golf Tournament registration is $125 per person and includes green fees, cart, range balls, dinner and prize drawings. Putting Tournament registration is $50 per player.
 Tournament co-chairs are Carol Mann and Dave Middleton.

The Gebert Mission Outreach Fund is a special permanent endowment fund established to remember and recognize the mission and outreach efforts of The Rev. Don and Barbara Gebert. The interest earned from endowment each year helps to fund selected mission efforts of the Lutheran Church as well as social ministry projects in our own community and around the world. As the Gebert Mission Outreach Fund grows, so does its ability to support and fund mission and social ministry projects.
