The Community Clinic opened its doors in November 1996 to provide free medical care and social service referrals for the working poor and underinsured living in our community. It is a privately funded, nonprofit health care center. It further fulfills its mission by:

  • Fostering and preserving the dignity and self-respect of the individual
  • Enabling independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Treating all we serve with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Counseling appropriate use of the provided services.

The Community Clinic is not an emergency care facility. There are no controlled substances prescribed or kept at the clinic. Treatment is based upon the lack of medical resources of the individual and the nature of the medical problem.

The Community Clinic
Mission Statement:

To improve the well-being of people by providing assistance and services that might not be available to them.

A staff of licensed doctors, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, social workers, as well as translators and lay people, all volunteer their time and services to run the clinic. There are currently three part-time employees and one full-time Social Service person.
