Small Groups focus on spiritual growth and meet to discuss Christian books, share hobbies, and enjoy fellowship time together. The groups generally have 4-6 couples or singles and meet 2-3 times a month. Some groups include children while others are adults only.
Each group determines its format including meeting time and place, depth of study, meal or snack options, and length of time to stay together as a group. To encourage growth together and to keep groups at a reasonable 'small' size, some groups are not open to new members at this time.

BUNCO - This is a simple game of chance using dice. No expertise required! This group of 12 ladies meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at church at 7:00 p.m. Contact Beth Kuper at 281-363-3518 if you would like to play or be on the sub list.
Esther Circle - This ladies group meets in the parlor at church on the third Monday of every other month from September through May from 10:00 a.m. until noon. They enjoy fellowship and speakers or work on a service project. Contact Joyce Schoch at 281-367-1433 for more information.
Family Games - This new group has just formed and will meet one Friday night per month in the Fellowship Hall for family fun and games, of course. Contact Anne Swetich or Vicky Roberts, both at 281-367-7016.

Hug-A-Bear Workshop - This ladies group meets the 4 Thursday of each month in the Resource Room from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. They create stuffed bears for the emergency room at the Woodlands Memorial Hermann Hospital and for the Community Clinic. You can participate with the group at church or at home, or by donating fabric and supplies. Contact Jeannine Seibert at 281-363-2853 for more information.
Knitting - This is a great place to learn to knit, enjoy the fellowship of other knitters, or help others learn to knit. We meet on various Saturdays (check the bulletin or Lifeline for dates and times). Contact JoAnn Johnson at 281-353-7485 for more information.
Ladies Bible Study - One group meets on Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 at the church. Another group meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 - Call Fronico Gonzalez at 281/367-5562 for information on this study.
Ladies Lunch Bunch - This group usually meets on the first Wednesday of the month at different local restaurants. Childcare is available by signing up in advance. Contact Leigh Carreon at 281-296-2520 for more information.
Lefse Makers - Learn to make Norwegian lefse like a pro with this group of ladies! They meet one or two Saturdays in November. Contact Dianne Kaldor at 936-271-1123 for more information.
LOLA's Diner - This group is led by Carole and Joe Lazenby at 936/273-9862. Small dinner groups of 6-8 people are formed. Hosting duties rotate for a monthly get-together and meal. The host is responsible for the entrée and the other couples bring the appetizer, salad, or dessert. At the end of four months the tables are reformed.
Rachel's Remnants - This ladies group makes quilts for Lutheran World Relief. They meet the 2nd Thursday and the 3' Friday of each month in the Sr. High Room from 9:30 -11:30 a.m. No sewing experience necessary - you can help tie, lay out, or sort fabric. Senior Sages - This group for seniors meets from September through May on the 1st Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Resource Room. The group has various speakers, activities, and occasional outings. Call Shelby Bockeloh at 936/273-2668 for more information.

Look for information soon about a Book Club, Stamping, Scrapbooking, Power Cooking, Couples Cards/Games, and a Mom's Group. Freezer Cooking Co-op - The Freezer Cooking Co-op is a group of people who get together every other Monday evening to plan meals and swap the food they've cooked. We meet every other Monday night at 7:30 in the Fellowship Hall. For more information email Susan Ruch or call her at 281-298-7304
